Dr. Jeffrey S. Wilson, CEFP, has been the Director of Operations for Huntsville (AL) City Schools since 2012. The district consists of 43 schools, 24,000 students, and 2,500 employees. Dr. Wilson leads a Directorate of over 300 people across five departments (Maintenance/Construction, Property/Asset Management, Facilities Services, Security, and Transportation).

Dr. Wilson possesses a wealth of academic qualifications. He earned his BA in Philosophy at Western Illinois University in 1985, his MA in Philosophy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1995, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University in 2008. In addition, he earned his Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) credential in 2018.

Dr. Wilson is a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel. He served as an Assistant Professor at West Point and held multifunctional logistics assignments in the US, Germany, Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan from 1985 to 2012.
