Jorge J Garcia is an accomplished operations and facilities management leader with over 25 years of experience driving large-scale projects and organizational growth. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for the Bridgeport Public Schools, Jorge has a proven track record in strategic planning, construction management, and operational oversight. His expertise spans staff development, budget administration, contract negotiations, and smart city design.
Previously, Jorge held senior leadership roles including Executive Director of New England Operations at A Plus Technology and Security Solutions, where he established the company’s first regional office and grew annual sales from $2 million to $4.8 million. As Director of Public Facilities for the City of Bridgeport, he managed a $52 million operating budget and a $131 million capital budget, overseeing 421 employees and major infrastructure projects such as several LEED-certified schools, airport runway upgrades, strategic operations center, and citywide park improvements.
Jorge’s career highlights include managing over a billion dollars in school construction, implementing advanced security operations centers, and leading sustainability initiatives. Known for his collaborative approach and decisive leadership, Jorge continues to deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and community impact.
