Marcus Edwards is a seasoned expert in school maintenance and change management. He currently works at FMX, where he plays a pivotal role in assisting school districts with their transition and implementation processes.

Before working at FMX, Marcus worked at Buncombe County Schools, the 13th largest school district in North Carolina, with 25,000 students, 4,000 employees, and 44 schools. As the Maintenance Technology Supervisor, Marcus significantly contributed to the district’s operational efficiency. One of his most notable accomplishments was leading his district through a critical transition from one facilities management solution to another.

His efforts during this transition included comprehensive training programs for all staff levels, covering maintenance requests, planned maintenance, inventory requests, projects, and purchase orders. He also played a vital role in the Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) for high schools, managing equipment tagging and preventive maintenance programs.

Now at FMX, Marcus leverages his extensive experience to support districts nationwide in navigating change management challenges. His expertise ensures smooth transitions and optimizes the implementation of FMX systems, empowering schools to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness in their operations.
